The Alphabet TBR Book Tag

Hi lovelies! Today I’m here with a book tag that I saw over at The Library Looter and I thought it looked super fun 🤭 The original creator of the tag is Lily Anna Writes so go and show them some love before taking part yourself! 🥰

The rules of the tag are simple: name a book from your owned TBR for every letter of the alphabet (you can exclude words like “the” and “a” if you need to), and try to include books by different authors for every letter. Easy enough right? 😅

A – (The) Armageddon Rag by George R.R. Martin

B – Battle Royale by Koushun Takami

C – Circe by Madeline Miller

D – (The) Dark Vault by Victoria Schwab

E – Eragon by Christopher Paolini

F – First Grave On The Right by Darynda Jones

G – Gideon The Ninth by Tamsyn Muir

H – Half Bad by Sally Green

I – It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover

J – Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte

K – King Of Scars by Leigh Bardugo

L – Lady Smoke by Laura Sebastian

M
I currently have no books on my TBR that start with the letter M.

N – Nemesis by Brendan Reichs

O – One Of Us Is Lying by Karen M. McManus

P – Panic by Lauren Oliver

Q
I currently have no books on my TBR that start with the letter Q.

R – Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

S – Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

T – Talon by Julie Kagawa

U
I currently have no books on my TBR that start with the letter U.

V – Vanguard by Ann Aguirre

W – Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green & David Levithan

X – XVI by Julia Karr

Y – You by Caroline Kepnes

Z – Zombies Vs. Unicorns by Holly Black et al.

I did pretty well, actually, only missing M, Q, and U! This was actually harder than I thought, but 23/26 ain’t bad 🤭 Feel free to have a go if you want! Also, have you read any of these books? Let me know what you thought of them down in the comments!

Until next time, happy reading! 😘

December TBR | The Last One (Of The Year)

Hi lovelies! Happy December ❄ It’s absolutely FREEZING here in the north of England, and I just cannot deal 😂 I hope the weather is being kind wherever you are! Anyway, I’m here today to share with you the books I hope to get to in December. I haven’t chosen too many as I’m also participating in the Winter Magical Readathon hosted by G over at Book Roast! The way this readathon works is a little different, in that we’ll be getting one prompt per week depending on the path we choose over on the Magical Readathon site. It’s basically a choose-your-own-adventure, and I am SO on board 🤭 You can follow me over on Twitter to get updates on the books I choose for this readathon, but otherwise I’ll talk about them in my wrap-up!

Anyway, that’s enough rambling. Let’s get on with the books I want to read in December, shall we? 😂

A Court Of Frost & Starlight by Sarah J. Maas (re-read)
It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover
The Tethered Mage by Melissa Caruso
Elantris by Brandon Sanderson
Harry-Potter & The Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling (re-read)

I think out of all of these books, the one I’m most excited to read is Elantris. I fell in love with the Mistborn trilogy, and I just can’t wait to explore more of Sanderson’s work! I’m also super excited (and a little sad) to finish up my 2019 re-reads of both Harry Potter and A Court Of Thorns & Roses, but I’ve certainly enjoyed revisiting them! Have you read any of these books? What are you most looking forward to reading in December? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time, happy reading! 😘

November Recap | The One With All The Chunky Books

Hi lovelies! Can you believe it’s almost the end of 2019 already? I swear this year has just gone by in the blink of an eye. Anyway, I’m here today to share with you the 6 books I managed to finish in November! It wasn’t a fantastic reading month for me in terms of quantity, but the quality was just spot on 😍 At least this won’t be a ridiculously long wrap-up post 🤭

The Well Of Ascension & The Hero Of Ages by Brandon Sanderson
The Mistborn trilogy was my first experience with Brandon Sanderson’s writing, and what an amazing experience it was! While this series didn’t necessarily end the way I would have wanted it to, the journey getting there was undeniably epic. I gave both of these books 5/5 stars.

Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling
Continuing on my 2019 Harry Potter re-read, I’ve come to the realisation that this book might just be my favourite in the series. I have yet to revisit the final book yet, but it’ll be difficult to top my feelings on Half-Blood Prince this time around! I gave this book 5/5 stars.

Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare
Every time I revisit this series, I find something new to fall in love with. The 10-year anniversary edition has such beautiful artwork inside and I loved exploring it all. I’m so grateful to have been sent this beautiful copy of one of my favourite books of all time 😍 I gave this book 5/5 stars.

Seafire by Natalie C. Parker
In all honesty, I knew very little about this book before going in, but I ended up loving it. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was filled with amazing characters and plenty of action. Betrayal and revenge are huge themes that play into this story, and I loved where Natalie C. Parker took the plot. I can’t wait to check out the next book! I gave this book 4/5 stars.

A Court Of Wings & Ruin by Sarah J. Maas
There’s no denying that Sarah J. Maas is my absolute number one favourite author. Every time I re-read one of her books, I fall in love all over again. This final installment isn’t my absolute favourite, but it’s still fucking fantastic – despite the ridiculous amount of times the word “mate” is used 😅 I gave this book 5/5 stars.

So there you have the 6 books I managed to finish in November! Have you read any of these? What was your favourite book of the month? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time, happy reading! 😘

7 Urban Fantasy Series I Need To Read Again

Hi lovelies! It’s been a while 😬 My mental health has been super crappy so far this month, so I apologise that I’m still not posting regularly. It will happen. Eventually 😂 Anyway, I was looking at my shelves the other day, and I noticed that I have a lot of books that I loved a long time ago, but for some reason, I haven’t revisited them in many years. I’m a sucker for re-reading, but some of them just slip through the cracks 🤭

When I say I have a lot of books that I want to re-read, I mean I have a lot. Enough that I have to split them into categories 😂 Today I’m going to share the urban fantasy series’ that I loved once upon a time and desperately want to revisit at some point soon!

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
Bloodlines by Richelle Mead
The Dark Elite by Chloe Neill
Soul Screamers by Rachel Vincent
Shifters by Rachel Vincent
The Immortals by Alyson Noel
Need by Carrie Jones

If I’m being perfectly honest, I barely remember anything about most of these series’ 😂 Richelle Mead and Rachel Vincent were two of my absolute favourite authors once upon a time, and I really need to revisit their writing. Have you read any of these books? Let me know in the comments! 😘

November TBR | The One With All The Re-Reads

Hi lovelies! Happy November! I hope you’re all having a wonderful start to the month. I’m a little late to the party, but I’ve finally finished the last book I started in October, and now I can focus on what I actually want to read this month 😂

I’ve been feeling pretty slumpy lately, and I’m not entirely sure why in all honesty. I just haven’t had the motivation to read, and it’s starting to piss me off 😬 I decided that I was going to take it easy in November, and only choose 5 books to read – 3 of which are actually re-reads 🤭 If there’s anything that’s guaranteed to pull me out of a reading slump, it’s revisiting old favourites! 😍

Anyway, that’s enough rambling. Here are the 5 books I hope to read in November! 🍂

THE HERO OF AGES BY BRANDON SANDERSON
748 pages | Mistborn #3

I’m always a little wary of adult fantasy, just because I have very little experience with the genre. I usually struggle with highly political books, but the Mistborn trilogy has been a FANTASTIC journey. I’ll be sad to say goodbye to Vin and Elend and basically all of the characters in this series, but I can’t wait to continue on my Brandon Sanderson adventure 😍

SEAFIRE BY NATALIE C. PARKER
374 pages | Seafire #1

In all honesty, I don’t know a whole lot about this book, but I saw the hardcover on Amazon for less than £6 and I just couldn’t resist. I barely hear anybody talk about this series, but I’m excited to check it out. As far as I can tell, it’s about badass female pirates, and THAT I can get on board with 😍

THE BOOKS I WANT TO RE-READ…

Since I’ve been feeling so slumpy lately, I thought the only way to get through it would be to re-read some of my favourite books of all time. I’m super excited to continue on with my Harry Potter and ACOTAR re-reads, and I’m also really looking forward to taking part in the Instagram readalong for the 10th anniversary edition of Clockwork Angel (huge thanks to Walker Books and The Tandem Collective for sending this my way 😍). Will Herondale, here I come 🤭

So there you have the 5 books I hope to get to in November! Have you read any of these? If so, which ones are your favourites? Let me know in the comments! 😘
